Recipe for Pesto Pasta

  • 12 ounces (340g) pasta (such as spaghetti or penne)
  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves, packed
  • 1/2 cup pine nuts
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
