Recipe for Crispy Chicken and Rice

  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 cup of long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups of low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp of turmeric
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, turmeric, and paprika.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe pot over medium heat. Add the chicken thighs, skin side down, and cook until the skin is golden and crispy. Remove the chicken and set it aside.
  3. In the same pot, add the chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
  4. Add the rice to the pot and stir well to coat it with the onion and garlic mixture.
