Preparation Time: 25 minutes

Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 40 minutes

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  1. 1.5 lbs thinly sliced rib-eye or sirloin steak
  2. 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  3. 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  4. 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  5. 2 tablespoons olive oil
  6. Salt and pepper to taste
  7. 4 Provolone cheese slices
  8. 4 hoagie rolls

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your griddle over medium-high heat. Drizzle with olive oil.
  2. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, cooking until they soften and start to caramelize.
  3. Push the veggies aside, add the thinly sliced steak to the griddle. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, about 4-5 minutes.
  4. Divide the steak into four portions on the griddle. Top each with the caramelized vegetables, followed by a slice of provolone cheese. Cover for a minute until the cheese melts.
  5. Slice the hoagie rolls, open them up, and, using a spatula, scoop each pile of steak, vegetables, and melted cheese into the rolls.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
