Recipe: Beef Stir-Fry

Preparation Time: 25 minutes

Servings: 4

  • 1 pound lean beef strips
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the beef strips and stir-fry until browned, around 5-7 minutes. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, add the minced garlic and ginger and sauté for 30 seconds. Then add the mixed vegetables and continue stir-frying for 5 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the soy sauce, cornstarch, brown sugar, salt, and pepper to create the sauce.
  4. Return the beef to the pan with vegetables. Pour over the sauce and stir until everything is well coated and the sauce has thickened.
  5. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
